Project Ptahy

Project Ptahy (Птахи, meaning Birds) is a civilian evacuation project operating under the Vidchui non-governmental organisation. The project focuses on establishing and maintaining safe transport corridors for civilians who cannot independently leave conflict-affected areas — including elderly residents, people with disabilities, and families with young children.

The project coordinates with local authorities and other humanitarian actors to identify communities with the greatest evacuation need and organise appropriate transport. Volunteers and paid drivers deliver civilians from dangerous areas to safer regions within Ukraine or to crossing points for those continuing to EU countries.

The project is primarily oriented toward a Ukrainian-speaking audience, with most communications in Ukrainian. Donors can contribute to fuel, vehicle maintenance, and driver costs through the official donation link.
